EverThrive Illinois

The Challenges:
EverThrive is a local organization dedicated to offering pregnancy support to under-resourced neighborhoods within Chicago. Breaking Through Consulting is helping EverThrive Illinois advance its mission of providing a lifeline to communities most impacted by disparate pregnancy outcomes and access to care. In Chicago, Black mothers are six times more likely to die during or shortly after pregnancy. EverThrive Illinois has made it their goal to decrease those numbers, but needed help with building awareness.

The Method:
Through Breaking Through Consulting’s strategic services, branding, and purposeful messaging, we assisted EverThrive Illinois in reaching its target audience through empathetic, relatable, and evidence-based messaging through their latest initiative, a support community for people's self-care during pregnancy and after having their baby called The Gathering.

The Gathering is a digital marketing campaign that was informative, helpful, and visually appealing. It is complete with important statistics, and sections dedicated to each stage of pregnancy, all of which maintain a supportive and gentle tone, reminding women that they are never alone when they join The Gathering.

The Breakthrough:
The Gathering was organized into three pathways of support. The first is during pregnancy; the second is after you give birth, and the third is for family and friends of mothers who tragically die from pregnancy. We strived to make these pathways of support as visible, clear, and accessible as possible in this digital campaign. As a result, EverThrive Illinois has been positioned as an organization taking a stand to save lives and ensuring that over 20,000 people from communities most impacted by injustice have access, to resources, health care, and choice to create and sustain healthy families on their own terms.
